A full-time schedule is comprised of two courses per semester.
A combination of online and in-class courses are offered to meet the needs of your busy schedule. By enrolling in our EdD full-time, you will complete all of your coursework in two years, plus a dissertation.
* If you do not have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA from your graduate degree, please submit official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score.
** If you have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA from your graduate degree, then you meet the requirements for a Graduate Record Exam (GRE) exemption.
*** World Education Services, Josef Silny and Associates, Academic Evaluation Services, Inc., or similar approved agency.
**** A bank letter is a written statement on bank letterhead and signed by a bank official.
***** Must have completed an English language training program or at least one year at an English speaking institution to waive the TOEFL/IELTS testing requirement. Our TOEFL minimum is a 79. The IELTS minimum is a 6.5.
Florida Southern College reserves the right to revise fee schedules.
Our program is taught on a unique hybrid model where a typical semester is comprised of one online class and one face-to-face class meeting on alternating Saturdays. This design is also based on a cohort model so the individuals in your online class will be the ones in the face-to-face class.
Saturday classes are scheduled from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
Students seeking financial aid should complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility.
Textbook costs vary each semester, by course, and by professor.
At the doctoral level, you are considered full time when you are enrolled in 8 credit hours.
Teachers who host a Florida Southern College education student for field study or internship earn a voucher for one free Florida Southern College School of Education course. There is no limit to the number you can earn; however, they are nontransferable.
