Get Driving Directions to Campus

From the North or West

(Tallahassee, Gainesville, Ocala, Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Naples)

  • Take I-75 or I-275 to I-4 East toward Orlando.
  • Take Exit 27 for Polk Parkway (SR 570 E)
  • Travel approximately 6.1 miles and take Exit 7 for South Florida Avenue (US-98 N).
  • Turn left onto South Florida Avenue.
  • Drive 1.5 miles, then turn right onto Beacon Road.
  • Continue until you reach the lake and turn left onto Lake Hollingsworth Drive.
  • After about half a mile, look for 121 Lake Hollingsworth Drive on your left — France Admissions Center. Visitor parking is available directly in front of the building.

From the East

(Orlando and points north via I-4)

  • Take I-4 West to Exit 33 (Lakeland/Polk City).
  • Turn left at the end of the ramp, then bear right just after the overpass onto SR-33 South (Lakeland Hills Blvd).
  • Continue straight; Lakeland Hills Blvd becomes Massachusetts Avenue.
  • Drive about 4 miles, then turn right onto Lake Morton Drive.
  • At the first intersection, turn left onto Success Avenue, then right onto Lake Hollingsworth Drive.
  • Continue around the lake. 121 Lake Hollingsworth Drive will be on your right, located near the France Admissions Center. Visitor parking is available in front.

From the Southeast

(Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami)

  • Take the Florida Turnpike North to the Yeehaw Junction Exit (SR 60 West).
  • Follow SR 60 West into Bartow, then follow signs for US-98 North to Lakeland.
  • Continue about 13 miles into Lakeland.
  • Just past Grove Park Shopping Plaza, turn left onto Crystal Lake Drive.
  • Drive until Crystal Lake Drive ends, then turn right onto Lake Hollingsworth Drive.
  • Continue around the lake. Look for 121 Lake Hollingsworth Drive on your right — the France Admissions Center. Visitor parking is available directly in front of the building.

By Amtrak Train

Florida Southern College is served by the Lakeland Amtrak Station (LKL), located at 600 E. Main Street, just 1.5 miles from campus.

  • Daily service is available from major cities, including Tampa, Orlando, and Miami.
  • From the station, it's a short 5-minute ride to campus by taxi or rideshare (such as Uber or Lyft).

By Bus (Greyhound/ Megabus/ Local Transit)

  • Greyhound and Megabus drop-off locations are typically in downtown Lakeland or at the Amtrak Station.
  • From there, you can use Citrus Connection (Lakeland’s public bus system) or rideshare to reach campus.

If you’re flying into Orlando (MCO) or Tampa (TPA), you can also connect to Lakeland by Amtrak or shuttle service, followed by a quick rideshare to campus.

Florida Southern College is conveniently located between two major international airports, making travel easy for students and families flying in.

Tampa International Airport (TPA)

Approx. 1 hour from campus

  • Located west of Lakeland, Tampa International is a popular choice for domestic and international travelers.
  • Upon arrival, you can rent a car, take a shuttle, or use rideshare services (Uber/Lyft) for the drive to campus.

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes from campus

  • MCO offers extensive domestic and international flight options.
  • Transportation to Lakeland is available via car rental, shuttle services, or rideshare apps.

Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL)

Approx. 15 minutes from campus

  • A smaller regional airport, LAL offers limited commercial service and is ideal for private flights or select charter services.

Shuttle service is available to returning students arriving/departing from the Tampa and Orlando airports.
