Clubs and More

More than 120 clubs and organizations, and the freedom to start the one that's missing.

Find Your Community at Florida Southern

Whatever you are into, someone here is into it too. Join a club tied to your major, try something you have never done before, or take on a leadership role your first semester. Most of our organizations are small enough that you will be running something by sophomore year if you want to be.

Explore by Interest

However you want to get involved, there's a category for you. Browse a few highlights below, then head to Mocs Connect for the full list.

Academic and Professional

Connect with peers in your major, explore a new discipline, or earn recognition through an honor society, with clubs spanning criminology, psychology, nursing, biology, advertising, and more.

Identity and Culture

Build community and learn from others through organizations like Allies (FSC's LGBTQIA+ club), the Asian and Pacific Islander Association, Black Student Union, and ELEVATE, for first-generation students.

Faith and Spiritual Life

FSC celebrates its United Methodist heritage while welcoming students of every tradition. Student-led ministries like Beyond, FSC Hillel, the Muslim Student Association, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes gather nearly every night of the week.

Service and Advocacy

Make a difference in the Lakeland community and beyond through organizations like Enactus, building sustainable change through entrepreneurship, Rotaract, serving alongside the Rotary Club of Lakeland, and Fempowered, advancing gender equality for everyone.

Arts and Media

Express yourself through choreography, film, writing, and poetry, perform with bands, orchestras, and choirs, or join a student publication like The Southern (newspaper), FSCTV (broadcast), or Cantilevers (literary and art journal).

Recreation and Interest

Get moving with club sports like the FSC Climbing Club, Fitness for FSC, and the Mocettes dance team, or bond over shared hobbies in clubs for astronomy, board games, gardening, and more.

"What amazes me about Florida Southern is that you can be 100 percent in love with what you're doing. You're not afraid to have that passion. Just the opposite — it's encouraged."
