You will be fully prepared for teaching in the 21st-century.

If you're hoping to share your passions with middle school and high school students, then look to our Secondary Education degree.

You will take courses in your subject area — English, math, biology, social sciences — and education courses to prepare you for the classroom. While building expertise in your discipline, you will become a master of curriculum development, instruction, and classroom management.

Engaged Learning

Our partnership with Polk County Public Schools provides a wide array of clinical experiences. There, an experienced teacher will guide you in integrating educational theory and research into real-world classrooms with middle and high school students. You will also work hands on at the Roberts Academy, our elementary and middle grades laboratory school located on our campus.
