Elementary Education

Teach. Inspire. Lead.

Florida Southern’s Elementary Education program prepares you to become a confident and compassionate K–6 teacher. Through hands-on learning, expert faculty guidance, and a curriculum rooted in best practices, you’ll learn to create meaningful classroom experiences for young learners. Graduates earn eligibility for Florida teacher certification (K–6) with built-in endorsements in Reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)—giving you a competitive edge from day one. Part 2: Clinical Experiences in the First Semester You’ll begin working in real classrooms during your first semester and continue through your final internship. With placements in our lab schools and local elementary classrooms, you’ll experience a variety of grade levels and teaching environments.
