The Esports Management Minor is designed to meet the growing demand from industry for graduates with skills in the esports discipline. According to Business Insider, the esports market has surpassed $1 billion USD, and predicted to grow to over $5 billion during the next few years. While still a relatively new industry, jobs will be at a surplus in the coming years. The minor is comprised of courses that cover topics such as esports tournament design, sponsorship activation, and fan engagement.
Careers in esports include; enterprise management, esports event management, esports finance and accounting, and esports sponsorship and marketing, with interscholastic, intercollegiate and professional esports organizations’, esports event organizers, and entrepreneurial esports ventures.

Additionally, investors are pouring billions of dollars into the industry each year.
