Training for Volunteer Attorneys and Judges
The Justice Teaching Center provides training and professional development opportunities for teachers, attorneys, and judges to advance civic learning and law-related education partnerships in Florida’s K-12 public and private schools.
The Justice Teaching Center prepares attorneys and judges to engage with students of all ages in the classroom. All training is nonpartisan and standards-based. Training can be conducted in-person or via Zoom. A new recorded session is also available for individual use. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule local training or request access to virtual or recorded sessions. Volunteers will learn about the status of civic education in Florida and the nation, current content covered in civic education and law classes in elementary and secondary schools, and best practices and lesson demonstrations for the classroom.
