Biography
Go Green Bay Packers! Yes, I am originally from Wisconsin, and my family still resides there. I am married with two adult children. My husband works remotely and is in accounting. My son lives in Florida and works in cybersecurity. My daughter is a graduate student in Nebraska studying pharmacy and public health. In addition, I have three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. My love for travel, adventure, and education has allowed me to experience many aspects of education in various capacities and places. Initially, I worked for the United States Air Force in Phoenix, Denver, and Germany as an early childhood and youth programs Training and Curriculum Specialist and manager. I specifically worked with teachers on implementing early childhood concepts and teaching strategies while overseeing the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation for our centers. In Wisconsin, I worked for the public school district as a kindergarten teacher and a preschool special education teacher. I also assessed 3-year-olds for developmental delays using the district’s Child Find process. When I lived in Indiana, I worked as an Intensive Intervention special education teacher, writing IEPs, writing lesson plans, and consulting with general education teachers. I have worked with students who had a myriad of learning challenges: Autism, behavioral issues, medically fragile, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities. While at FSC, I have worn two hats, one as a student completing my doctoral degree in education and the other as an adjunct instructor for undergraduates. I really enjoy working with students and supporting them on their educational journeys.

Interests
Outside of work, I love the outdoors: hiking, kayaking, biking, and more. I savor spending time with my family and traveling inside and outside of the United States.
