Aug 22, 2025

The Princeton Review’s prestigious The Best 391 Colleges once again places Florida Southern College among the top universities in the country, naming the College as one of the “Best in the South.” Florida Southern’s faculty, career services, student support and counseling services, and theatre program are ranked in the top 25 across the nation.
Florida Southern has been ranked in the top 25 in the nation for Best Career Services and Best College Theater for four consecutive years, and its faculty, career services, and theatre program are each ranked #1 among all colleges in Florida.
“It’s terrific to see Florida Southern once again highly ranked by The Princeton Review,” said Dr. Jeremy Martin, president of Florida Southern College. “We are particularly proud to see career services get top marks as we deliver exceptional outcomes for students on their enrollment-to-employment journey, as well as the incredible support services available to them in earning their degrees.”
In this year’s edition, The Princeton Review highlighted the College with the following national recognitions:
#23 Professors Get High Marks
#22 Best College Theater
#22 Best Career Services
#24 Best Student Support and Counseling Services
"Florida Southern College has outstanding academic programs, and the feedback we received about Florida Southern from its students we surveyed was very impressive," said Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's editor-in-chief and lead author of The Best 391 Colleges. "We are delighted to name Florida Southern one of our Best Colleges for 2026 and to recommend it to students searching for their ‘best-fit’ college.”
Florida Southern’s commitment to preparing students for success is reflected in its exceptional post-graduation outcomes, with 99 percent of graduates employed, pursuing further education, or serving in the military within six months of graduation.
Dr. Tracey Tedder, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Florida Southern College, adds, “Once again, we are proud to be recognized by The Princeton Review for the outstanding academic accomplishments of our exceptional faculty, as reflected in the 'Professors Get High Marks' distinction. This recognition affirms the deep commitment our professors have to student success. We are also pleased to see our theatre program recognized among the top 25 nationally, which serves as an acknowledgment of the excellence demonstrated by our faculty and students.”
The Princeton Review conducts its annual student survey through a comprehensive 98-question assessment covering four key areas: academics and administration, campus life, fellow students, and self-reflection. Students respond using a five-point Likert scale, which measures consensus-based feedback. Schools that make it onto any of the 50 top 25 lists are those at which the surveyed students indicated a very high opinion of the category.
