PASS is support for students enrolled in a specific course. PASS is engaged learning where students learn more effective study methods while also having a guide, called a PASS Leader, direct them through the weekly lesson.
PASS Leaders plan sessions around the most difficult topics that way students are able to deepen their understanding of course material each week. These sessions take place once per week for 1 hour and are group sessions.
Similar to traditional tutoring, S3 (Scholars Strengthening Scholars) offers students a chance to meet with a Peer Scholar for general support for classes in specific subject areas.
This is a great place for students to ask questions while working through homework and studying. Peer Scholars are available to help students with their individual coursework understanding. These sessions take place throughout the week and are walk-in or by appointment — typically group setting where each individual can ask questions.
The FSC Writing Center is a place for students to bring written work. Students have a 30 minute session with a writing tutor to discuss the written work and ways for students to make improvements. These sessions are designed for students to build writing skills — better writers, not just better papers! Written work includes papers, resumes, cover letters, personal statements, personal work, presentations, etc. (if you write it, we take it). Schedule an appointment via Portal or walk in today!

Florida Southern holds that student grievances are best handled by the professional staff within the specific area associated with the complaint rather than centralized in a single office or individual. Therefore, complaints and appeals are addressed by various offices depending on the nature of the grievance.
