About the Religion Major

Religion has played a significant role in our lives since the beginning of time. Along with marking important life events, it encourages us to think critically about the meaning of life and our role in the world.

Florida Southern College's BA in Religion provides a balanced and challenging curriculum that examines faith and how it engages and transforms culture, history, and the human experience. Along with courses in the traditional areas of Biblical studies and Christian theology, students explore non-Christian religious traditions and develop the critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and global awareness that prepare them for seminary, graduate study, church-related work, and a wide variety of other careers. You are encouraged to round out your coursework with minors in art, language, and philosophy, or pursue a double major, making this one of the most flexible and enriching degrees FSC offers.
