FSC's Business Analytics curriculum bridges the world of business strategy and data science, building analytical fluency across statistics, data mining, data visualization, and business decision-making. The program is built around a strong business core covering accounting, management, finance, marketing, economics, and business law, so graduates understand both the data and the business context it lives in.

Advanced analytics coursework goes deep on the tools and techniques that power modern data-driven organizations. Students complete courses in Business Analytics, Data Mining, and Data Visualization, then choose electives that allow them to specialize in areas including accounting analytics, econometrics, programming in R, computer science, or marketing research.

A required internship integrates classroom learning with professional practice, and the capstone Seminar in Strategic Management challenges students to synthesize their full business education in the context of real organizational decisions.

The BS in Business Analytics is a 124-credit hour degree built around three areas of study:

Business Core

Students complete foundational coursework shared across Barnett School programs, covering financial and managerial accounting, principles of management, business systems, business law, statistics and analytics, macroeconomics, managerial finance, and marketing principles, alongside professional development and a required business internship.

Business Analytics Core

The analytics-specific curriculum develops expertise in Business Analytics, Data Mining, and Data Visualization. Students then choose additional coursework from a range of specialization options including Data Analytics in Accounting, Introduction to Computer Science, Econometrics, Analysis in R (introductory and intermediate), and Marketing Research, allowing them to tailor their analytical skills to their career interests.

General Education and Electives

Additional hours in FSC's WRIGHT Foundations, BS degree requirements, and electives round out the full 124-credit degree.

Graduate a Year Ahead with an MBA in Hand

Florida Southern's 4+1 MBA lets you complete your undergraduate business degree and an MBA in five years. But the real advantage isn’t just the time you save; it’s what you do with that extra year.

Because you start graduate coursework as an undergraduate, some credits count toward both degrees. Nothing repeats. The MBA's Business Analytics track picks up exactly where your bachelor's leaves off, taking you deeper into the modeling, forecasting, and strategic decision-making that separate an analyst from the person they report to.
