About the Political Communication Degree

Interested in politics and communication? Study political processes both in the U.S. and internationally while learning how to communicate effectively within the world of politics.

Political Communication is the study of information flow through political processes and institutions. As an interdisciplinary program, your coursework spans American politics, international relations, communication theory, social science research methods, journalism practices, speech writing, and debate. You will graduate with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to compete in a multitude of industries connected to the political arena, from business and political consulting to public affairs, political journalism, and public diplomacy.

You won't find the usual lecture approach here. Most classes incorporate project work, in-class discussion and debate, guest speakers, and interactive strategies, preparing you to think analytically, listen carefully, and communicate persuasively in the realm of politics and public affairs.

Political Journalist

Public Affairs and Government Relations

Law
