Florida State Financial Aid

At Florida Southern, 98 percent of students receive financial aid and we award more than $100 million in aid each year to offset the costs of attending.

Your Florida Aid Works Here

If you have earned Florida state aid, good news: you can use it at Florida Southern. Many families do not realize that state programs like Bright Futures and the EASE grant apply at a private, non-profit college, and they stack on top of the scholarships and grants you receive from FSC. The Florida aid you have accumulated is yours to use at any accredited institution you choose, including Florida Southern.

Before You Start: Florida Eligibility

Most Florida grants require that you be a Florida resident and enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) each semester. You will need to confirm your residency and submit any required documentation to the Financial Aid Office.

For the state's full definition, review Florida residency requirements for tuition purposes.

Florida Aid Programs

Florida Bright Futures

A lottery-funded scholarship that rewards Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement. Eligibility is set by the state and includes minimum GPA, test scores, and community service requirements. Up to $7,632 per year.

Effective Access to Student Education (EASE)

EASE provides state support to Florida residents attending a private, nonprofit college or university in the state. The EASE grant is annually renewable provided you maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA and complete 24 credit hours each academic year. $3,500 per year

Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)

A need-based grant for degree-seeking Florida residents who demonstrate substantial financial need. The Florida Student Assistance Grant is annually renewable by completing the FAFSA, maintaining a 2.0 cumulative GPA, and completing 24 credit hours each academic year. Because funds may be limited, complete your FAFSA early for full consideration.

Florida Prepaid Tuition Plan

Florida Prepaid Tuition Plans may be used at Florida Southern during any academic semester, including summer terms. FSC bills Florida Prepaid directly each semester for the tuition and fees your plan covers, and Florida Prepaid issues payment to the College. To transfer funds, log into the Florida Prepaid College Plan Portal and authorize FSC.

Scholarships for Children and Spouses of Deceased or Disabled Veterans (CSDDV)

An award for dependent children or unremarried spouses of qualified Florida veterans.
