Early Decision Benefits
By applying early decision to FSC, you will receive your admissions decision no later than December 15. This way you already know FSC will be your college home at the start of your year, giving you time to enjoy all of the special moments of your senior year of high school.
- Receive priority housing selection.
When you apply Early Decision, you’ll get the first opportunity to complete your housing form to select your favorite residential home for next year with priority housing selection. This means that you will also be one of the first to receive your housing assignment.
- Move in a day early during New Student Orientation.
You’ll get a jump-start on moving in and setting up your room before the rest of students arrive on campus for new student orientation. We will roll out the red carpet for families to lend a hand in moving in early, too!
- Be the first to create your fall class schedule.
As an early decision student, you will have early access to the Course Preference Form to declare your major, begin sharing preferences for classes, and get ahead in creating your fall schedule.
- Attend an exclusive student/family luncheon.
Get connected with leadership on campus at lunch with FSC’s president and select staff during orientation. This special lunch is another way to get involved with FSC’s amazing community and build relationships with FSC’s top decision makers.
- Get early access to a success coach.
FSC has many resources to help you succeed, and getting connected with a success coach will help you plan a course so you can achieve holistic well-being your first semester and beyond. They’ll connect you with resources and support through the lens of our wellness wheel so that you can master your classes and achieve balance in your life.
- Be paired with an FSC student mentor.
We know the transition to college can be intimidating, and our student mentors are here to help. You’ll be paired with a classmate who knows what it is like to be a student at FSC and can provide the tips to thrive. Student mentors will also be your first friend on campus, so you’ll never be alone.
- Enjoy priority registration for Discover Florida trips.
Whether it’s a trip to Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, or Clearwater Beach, you’ll be in the first group to sign up for limited spots on exciting trips.
- Gain priority registration for Junior Journey trips.
Study abroad options are in high demand and can only accommodate so many FSC students for each trip. Be the first to sign up for an academic travel experience known as Junior Journey, where students travel to exciting locations such as Asia, Latin America, Europe, and more!
- Receive priority consideration for additional scholarships.
By applying and being admitted early, you’ll be one of the first to be able to complete the priority application to be considered for our premier/prestige scholarships and departmental scholarships, and to schedule and submit portfolios for visual and performing arts scholarships.
- Register first for Southern Select.
Be one of the first to register for our on-campus, one-day event exclusive to accepted students each spring.
