of graduation. That's our promise, and we back it.
A Guarantee, Not Just a Goal
The FSC Career Guarantee promises you'll secure employment or gain admission to a graduate or professional school within six months of graduation. It isn't a slogan. It's a structured four-year plan of career-focused activities, personalized coaching, and hands-on experience. Hence, you graduate with real work behind you, a network in place, and a clear direction ahead.
How the Guarantee Works
The Career Guarantee is designed for first-time, first-year students. You enroll during your first year and follow a four-year sequence that builds on itself, so nothing is left until the last semester.
Year 2: Explore
Test-drive career interests through informational interviews and Career Services events.
Year 3: Go Deeper
Step into leadership roles, complete internships, and sharpen your goals with targeted strategies.
Year 4: Execute
Apply to jobs or graduate programs, complete mock interviews, and finish with a competitive resume or CV.

What You Need to Do
The Career Guarantee is a two-way commitment. Your part runs through a series of non-credit online modules you complete across your four years, alongside these requirements:
- Enroll as a full-time first-year student. Transfer students are not eligible.
- Declare a major by the first day of junior year.
- Maintain a GPA of at least 2.8.
- Complete two approved internships or experiential learning opportunities.
- Participate in all required program activities, including if you plan to graduate early.
- Begin the job search by the start of their final year, completing job or graduate school applications, and any additional recommendations from the Office of Career Services.
- Meet any legal or regulatory requirements of the chosen field.
- Graduate within four years of enrollment. If you plan to finish a semester or a year early, you'll need to complete all four-year program requirements in that shorter window. Students graduating in fewer than three years or taking a gap year are not eligible.
If You're Still Searching
Most students never need it: for the second year in a row, 99.1% of Florida Southern graduates were employed or continuing their education within six months. But if you complete every requirement and still haven't landed a job or graduate placement within six months, FSC steps in with one of two backstops:
- Loan Assistance: We cover your FSC-specific loan payments for up to three months while you keep searching.
- Graduate Tuition Waiver: We cover tuition for six graduate credits at FSC.
