Payment Options

Once your financial aid is in place, here's how to pay any remaining balance and manage your account. As a working adult or graduate student, you have several ways to pay, from employer benefits to interest-free monthly plans.

Steps to Pay Your Bill

Before your first bill arrives, a few things need to be in place. Work through these steps in order — most take only a few minutes, and Student Accounts is available if you get stuck.

  1. 1

Make sure all required documents are submitted and your aid is fully processed. You must accept your awards and satisfy any outstanding requirements in the FSC Portal for them to appear on your account and reduce your balance.

  2. 2

This may include employer tuition reimbursement or deferment, a corporate partnership benefit (such as Amazon Career Choice or GEICO), military or veteran benefits, or a private loan.

  3. 3

If you're an admitted graduate or doctoral student, submit your non-refundable enrollment deposit to secure your place. It's applied to your first semester's tuition.

    Adult bachelor's programs don't require a deposit.

  4. 4

Decide whether you're paying in full or enrolling in an interest-free payment plan. Pay through Transact in the FSC Portal, or follow the instructions on your statement. If someone else will pay on your behalf, add them as an authorized payer first.

Pay Your Enrollment Deposit:

Secure your place at Florida Southern by submitting your non-refundable enrollment deposit. This deposit is applied directly to your first semester’s tuition, making it the first step toward your degree—not an added cost.

Ways to Fund Your Degree

Many students reduce their out-of-pocket costs through employer benefits, military aid, or outside scholarships. Here's how to apply them to your account.

If your employer reimburses tuition, we may be able to time your payment to align with your reimbursement so you're not paying out of pocket while you wait.

To get started, complete the Guarantee Note and return it to Student Accounts.

If you work for one of Florida Southern's corporate partners, your tuition may be covered directly or discounted. Amazon Career Choice pre-pays tuition for eligible associates, and GEICO associates receive a tuition discount.

If you're a service member, veteran, or eligible dependent, we can help you apply your education benefits toward your costs.

If you've received a scholarship from an outside organization, forward your award letter or confirmation (including the amount) to financialaid@flsouthern.edu so we can credit your account. Outside funds may arrive after your due date; if a pending scholarship affects what you owe, contact Financial Aid before paying.

Federal Direct and Grad PLUS loans can be applied toward your balance once you complete entrance counseling and sign your Master Promissory Note. For loan types, limits, and repayment terms, see Ways to Fund Your Degree.

Payment Methods

Once your funding is in place, you can pay any remaining balance using one of the following methods.

Pay through Transact in the FSC Portal. The College accepts Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. New students receive FSC Portal login information before bills are posted.

By mail: Make your check payable to Florida Southern College for the exact amount due, include your Student ID in the memo, and mail it to:

111 Lake Hollingsworth Drive,
Lakeland, FL 33801-5698.

In person: Pay by cash, check, or credit card at the Office of Student Accounts.

By ACH/e-check or international wire: Contact Student Accounts at studentaccts@flsouthern.edu to begin.

Payment Plans

Florida Southern offers interest-free payment plans through Nelnet Campus Commerce, so you or an authorized payer can pay tuition and fees in installments. These are not loans, and no credit check is required.

Plans are available each term and include a small nonrefundable enrollment fee; you re-enroll each term. Any prior-term balance must be cleared before enrolling, and enrollment opens before your bill is available. If you enroll after the start date, earlier installments are due at enrollment, but there's no late enrollment fee; a late fee applies only if a scheduled installment is missed.

Refunds and Account Balances

You can view your balance anytime in the FSC Portal. To request a refund of a credit balance, email studentaccts@flsouthern.edu; all refund requests are verified before processing. Federal aid exceeding your cost of attendance is refunded within fourteen days of disbursement, per federal regulations.

For full details on refunds, credit balances, past-due accounts, and collections, see the Office of Student Accounts.
