Weather Updates

Florida Southern College's Emergency Management Team closely monitors weather events that may affect our campus and community. This page serves as your central hub for official College communications during hurricanes, tropical storms, and other weather-related emergencies.

Stay Informed

If severe weather or another emergency affects normal College operations, Florida Southern notifies the campus community through the College website, the emergency text alert system, email, and the Omnilert app. You can also call the emergency hotline at 863.680.4101 for the latest updates.

  • Radio: WPCV 97.5 FM, WWRZ 98.3 FM, WONN 1230 AM, WLKF 1430 AM

Every student is automatically enrolled in emergency text alerts. Parents can opt in to receive them as well.

Make a Plan Before Hurricane Season

Students and families should agree on a communication plan before June 1, including how you will reach each other if phone or internet service goes down. Decide in advance where you would go, who you would contact first, and what you would take with you.
