Getting Home After Dark? Request a Safety Escort
Campus Safety offers free safety escorts in the evening, after business hours, and on weekends. An officer will walk or drive with you anywhere on campus or to off-campus housing, especially after dark. Just call 863.680.4305 (ext. 4305 from a campus phone). During the day, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., use the Moc Movers to get around campus.
Getting around Florida Southern and the Lakeland area is easy and free.
Campus Safety runs a full set of shuttle services, around campus, to off-campus housing, and into the community, so you can get where you need to go without a car.
Here is every ride option and how to use it.
Our free shuttles run continuously between off-campus housing and major points on campus throughout the day, with an evening shuttle for later hours.
Weekdays, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Evening shuttle, 6 to 11 p.m.
Track the shuttles live. Download the BusWhere for Shuttles app and sign up with your Mocs email to see where each shuttle is and when it will reach your stop. No passcode needed. Moc Movers are not tracked in the app.
Moc-Movers are eight-seat golf carts that follow a set route, stopping at popular spots around campus. Hop on at any Moc-Mover Stop for a quick ride.
Weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Roughly a 10-minute wait between carts
Moc-Mover stops:
- Branscomb Auditorium
- Blanton Nursing
- Rogers Building
- Jenkins Field House
- Wynee's Bistro
- Becker Business Building
Inclement weather: When there's rain or lightning, Moc Movers stop running and service switches to enclosed shuttles. Campus Safety follows the same lightning rules as Athletics, so golf cart and utility cart service pauses until 30 minutes after the last nearby lightning strike. Emergency calls are still answered by car.
Every Saturday, our free shopping shuttle runs to local grocery stores, pharmacies, and more, including popular stops like the downtown farmers market, the mall, Target, and the movie theater.
Every Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Call Campus Safety, then meet at Circle Drive in front of the cafeteria
The Squeeze is a free golf-cart shuttle from Citrus Connection, Lakeland's public transit system, that makes stops around downtown Lakeland. Catch it in front of the ROTC Building. For the current schedule and route, visit Citrus Connection.
Campus Safety provides a free Sunday shuttle to participating churches in Lakeland, with return trips to campus after services. For participating churches, departure times, and the semester schedule, visit the Campus Ministries page.
