FSC Allies
FSC's gay-straight alliance is a safe space for students of all orientations to find support, community, and camaraderie. Open to all students.
At Florida Southern College, we share a common belief that every student should be able to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment that is inclusive of all members of our community, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity.
Whether you are an incoming or current student who is a member of the Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) community, a parent or family member of an LGBTQ+ student, or an Ally, we hope you find these resources helpful. Should you have any questions, please reach out to Student Life. We are here to help you.
Have you seen the rainbow certificates posted outside offices across campus? That means the employee inside is Safe Zone trained.
The Florida Southern College Safe Zone program was created to support and embrace our LGBTQ+ community. Safe Zone Allies build a community that listens, acts, and educates others, advocating for the rights and dignity of every LGBTQ+ community member at FSC.
Since the program launched, more than 100 faculty, staff, and student employees have completed Safe Zone training.
Safe Zone information, upcoming events, and modules about the LGBTQ+ community are all available on Canvas. Everyone is welcome to explore.
