Scholarships & Endowed Giving

When you give to scholarships at Florida Southern College, you're not just making a donation, you're changing a life.

Lives Forever Changed

Your gift helps make an exceptional education accessible to talented students who might otherwise be unable to attend. By investing in their potential, you empower them to pursue their passions, achieve their goals, and give back to the world in meaningful ways. Scholarships are more than financial aid; they're a vote of confidence, a spark of hope, and a powerful step toward a brighter future.

The Impact of Scholarships

A scholarship is more than financial aid; it's a vote of confidence that follows a student through every year at Florida Southern. Hear directly from the Mocs whose paths were shaped by donor generosity, and the difference it continues to make.

Meet the Scholars

"Without this scholarship, attending Florida Southern would have been out of reach. I'm grateful every day for the chance to grow, learn, and become the person I've always dreamed of being."

Kayla M., 2026 McClurg Scholar

"Receiving a scholarship meant more than financial relief; it meant someone believed in me. That belief motivates me to do my best and give back one day."

Jared S., 2026 Hansen Scholar

"I was looking for a college that combines engaging experiences with academic reward. My classes aren't big lectures — they're small enough that professors know you, and that's helped me connect with faculty and peers in a way that's made a difference academically and socially."

Natalie McGinnis McClurg Scholar

"Florida Southern makes you a doer, not just a thinker. I spent this past summer in Washington, D.C., interning at the Library of Congress — and that's just one of the opportunities here. Besides the financial assistance, the Christoverson Scholarship has created a lot of great connections for me."

Laura Hackett Christoverson Scholarship Recipient
Casey Moulton

"Without the scholarship, I would not have been able to afford college and take advantage of all that Florida Southern has to offer. I owe my position as an MFA acting student to the training I had in FSC's theatre studies. The Jenkins Scholarship has been an incredible gift."

Casey Moulton, 2013 Jenkins Scholarship Recipient

Why Endowed Giving Matters

An endowed gift is one of the most powerful ways to support Florida Southern College, today and for generations to come. An endowment is a permanent fund: the principal is invested, and the earnings are used each year to support a specific purpose, such as scholarships, academic programs, faculty development, or campus initiatives. When you establish or contribute to an endowed fund, you invest in the future of our students, faculty, and programs while creating a lasting legacy that reflects your values and benefits Florida Southern in perpetuity.

Endowed gifts provide a reliable source of funding that helps us:

  • Offer scholarships and fellowships to deserving students
  • Attract and retain talented faculty
  • Support research, innovation, and curriculum development
  • Provide study abroad and hands-on learning opportunities
Why Endowed Giving Matters

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships are funded by individuals, families, foundations, or other organizations through a minimum gift of $50,000. An endowed scholarship can be created for a specific purpose and named to honor or memorialize an individual, family, or organization.

Hollingsworth Scholarships
