Congratulations. You've been admitted to Florida Southern College, and Southern Select is where the decision starts to feel real. You'll sit in the building where you'd take classes, meet the faculty who'd teach you, eat in the dining hall, and spend a day with the people who might become your class.
It is not a campus tour. It's a full day designed to immerse you (and your family) in campus life.

How the Day Unfolds
From Friday night through Saturday evening, here's what's waiting for you.
Start the Night Before
Kick things off at the welcome reception. Light refreshments, current students, and faculty and staff who are there because they want to meet you. Guided tours of campus and downtown Lakeland let you get your bearings before Saturday starts.
Feel the Energy at the Pep Rally
The fieldhouse fills, the band plays, and the whole admitted class is in one room. It's loud, a little silly, and the moment most students point to when they say, "This is when it clicked."
Meet the Faculty in Your Field
Academic showcases put you in the labs, studios, and classrooms where you'd actually be working, with the professors who'd actually be teaching you. They walk through the curriculum, the research and internships built into it, and what engaged learning looks like day-to-day in your major.
Get Straight Answers About Cost
Financial aid sessions break down what your package covers, how scholarships and aid work together, and what your family can expect year over year. Bring your award letter and bring your questions.
Catch a Game
Mocs athletics are in season, with home games happening the same day you're on campus. Show your Southern Select name badge at the gate and get in free.

Meet the Mocs: a Pre-Southern Select Experience
Meet FSC Mocs before a fun-filled experience at Southern Select! You can enjoy light refreshments while getting to meet faculty, staff, and students ahead of Select. Students will get to have fun meeting current students and other attendees, while family and friends joining can relax and get to know FSC friendly faces. Options for walking tours of campus and bus tours of downtown Lakeland available upon arrival.

Attending Southern Select qualifies you for the Southern Experience Scholarship, an additional award for admitted students who visit campus.
