Application Requirements by Program
Accounting, Business Administration, or Communication
- Official transcripts from every institution attended, even if courses were not completed
- If you have earned fewer than 25 college credit hours: an official high school transcript or GED scores, plus either SAT/ACT scores or a current resume
Elementary Education
- Official transcripts from every institution attended, even if courses were not completed
- A personal interview
- An academic interest inventory
- Polk County School Board background clearance (required if admitted)
- A current resume and a letter of recommendation are encouraged
- If you have earned fewer than 25 college credit hours: an official high school transcript or GED scores, plus either SAT/ACT scores or a current resume
Non-Degree Courses
- Transient students submit a transient form from their home institution
- You may complete up to 40 non-degree credit hours
Master of Accountancy (MAcc)

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology (MSIO)
- Official transcripts from all institutions (minimum 3.0 GPA)

- A recommendation form or letter of reference (academic reference preferred)
- A personal statement (maximum two single-spaced pages) addressing: your interest in graduate study in I/O psychology at FSC; how the program aligns with your career goals; the experiences that prepared you; your academic strengths and weaknesses; and a time you worked as part of a team
Preferred prerequisite coursework: MAT 2022 Elementary Statistics, PSY 2206 Social Psychology, PSY 2210 Tests and Measurements, PSY 3310 Research Design and Statistics, PSY 3336 Industrial-Organizational Psychology
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Official transcripts from all institutions
- A BSN from a regionally accredited institution and a CCNE, CNEA, or ACEN-accredited nursing program
- Three short video responses (no more than two minutes each): where you see yourself in five years as a nurse practitioner; why now is the right time to begin a graduate nursing program; and your most significant anticipated challenges in meeting the program's demands
- A current resume
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework
- Prerequisite courses completed with a C or better: health assessment, nursing research or evidence-based practice, and statistics or biostatistics
- Proof of current active Florida RN licensure
- A personal interview may be required
- If admitted: criminal background check, proof of immunization, and a ten-panel drug screen
Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction (MAT)
- Official transcripts from all institutions; a bachelor's from a regionally accredited institution
- A current resume
- A personal statement of professional goals
- A photocopy of ID, passport, or driver's license
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0, or a composite score of 297 on the GRE or 393 on the MAT
- A personal interview

Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (MEd)
- Official transcripts from all institutions; a bachelor's from a regionally accredited institution
- A current resume
- A personal statement of professional goals
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0, or a composite score of 297 on the GRE or 393 on the MAT
- A Florida Professional Educator Certificate
Master of Education in Educational Leadership (MEd)
- Official transcripts from all institutions; a bachelor's from a regionally accredited institution
- A current resume
- A personal statement of professional goals
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0, or a composite score of 297 on the GRE or 393 on the MAT
- A Florida Professional Educator Certificate

Master of Public Administration (MPA)
- Earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution, verified by official transcripts of all undergraduate work
- Current résumé
- Personal statement (maximum 1,000 words) detailing interest in the MPA program and its connection to professional goals
- One letter of recommendation
Doctor of Education (EdD)
- Official transcripts from all institutions
- A current resume
- A personal statement (no more than 500 words) addressing how a doctorate supports your goals, why FSC, and your related research, presentations, or major projects
- A recommendation form or letter of reference
- A 3.0 GPA in a regionally accredited master's program*
- Official GRE scores taken within the last five years*
- A personal interview
*If your graduate GPA is at least 3.0, you qualify for a GRE exemption. If it is below 3.0, submit GRE scores.
Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (EdD)
- Official transcripts from all institutions
- A current resume
- A personal statement (no more than 500 words) — same prompts as above
- A recommendation form or letter of reference
- A 3.0 GPA in a regionally accredited master's program*
- A valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate or an earned Master of Education
- Official GRE scores taken within the last five years*
- A personal interview
*Same GRE exemption rule as above.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- A completed online application
- Official transcripts from all institutions
- A master's in nursing from a CCNE, ACEN, or CNEA-accredited program, with certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or Clinical Nurse Specialist — or a nursing master's in leadership, health policy, population/community health, or informatics from an accredited program
- Cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0
- A resume or CV
- Proof of current active Florida RN licensure
- A live or virtual interview (by invitation only)
If admitted, DNP students must comply with vaccination, drug-testing, and background-check policies required for project and practicum experiences.
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
The DPT applies through PTCAS, not the FSC application. Required materials:
Management Certificate
- Complete the Management Certificate application and pay the $25 processing fee upon admission
- No more than two courses may be accepted as transient credit toward the certificate
Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing
- Official transcripts of all academic work.
- BSN from a regionally accredited institution and a CCNE, CNEA, or ACEN-accredited nursing program.
- MSN from a regionally accredited institution and a CCNE, CNEA, or ACEN-accredited nursing program.
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.
- Students in the MSN and PMC nurse practitioner tracks must provide proof of current active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida. A Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) from another state does not meet the licensure requirement. Students in the MSN, PBC, and PMC nursing administrative leadership and nurse educator tracks must provide proof of licensure in good standing in the state, territory, or locale where the student will complete their clinical hour requirements.
- A “C” or better in Introduction to Statistics or Biostatistics or an equivalent course from an accredited college or university at the undergraduate level is required. (Any course that involves the awarding of credits based on alternative award of credit arrangements or provisions may not be used to meet prerequisite course requirements.)
- Current resume of educational and work experience.
- Complete a virtual interview at the discretion of the faculty (by invitation only.)

- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 at FSC, and a 3.0 GPA in accounting (ACC) courses

International applicants to any program submit these in addition to their program's requirements:
- Official translated transcripts with a course-by-course evaluation, throughSpanTran (discount available), Academic Evaluation Services,Josef Silny,World Education Services, or another approved agency
- A bank letter verifying the sponsor's funds (a signed statement on bank letterhead)
- A Sponsor's Guarantee Form
- A valid passport
- An official TOEFL or IELTS score if English is not your first language (TOEFL minimum 79, IELTS minimum 6.5; waived if you completed an English-language training program or at least one year at an English-speaking institution)
