Become a Teacher Leader
Model best practices, mentor colleagues, and influence student learning beyond your own room. The MEd positions you as a leader among your peers while keeping you where your impact is greatest: teaching.

You are already a teacher. Become a transformational one. Deepen your craft, lead from your classroom, and grow your career, all 100 percent online.

You have your own classroom and years of experience in it. This is the degree that takes your teaching to the next level.
FSC’s Master of Education in Transformational Curriculum and Instruction is built for certified teachers who want to deepen their craft and lead from where they are. You will study transformational teaching methods, active, student-centered, collaborative, experiential, and problem-based learning, and apply them directly in your own classroom. The entire program is online, designed around the life of a full-time educator, and a master’s degree may also make you eligible for additional compensation in your district.
Designed for teachers with a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate who want to deepen their classroom practice, this focused, fully online program fits seamlessly around your teaching schedule and connects directly to your daily experience.
The MEd centers on transformational teaching: building dynamic relationships between teachers, students, and a shared body of knowledge to maximize each student’s growth. Across eight courses you will move from theory and research into assessment, instructional leadership, and an applied action-research study grounded in your own classroom.

The two programs share the same eight transformational-teaching courses. The difference is who they are for. The MEd is for teachers who already hold a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate and does not include an internship. The MAT is for people without a teaching certificate and adds a classroom internship that leads to initial certification. If you are already certified, the MEd is your program.
