We offer campus tours Monday through Friday and, at this time, advance registration is required to ensure we are limiting the number of individuals on campus at a given time and adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Our team will be asking a series of basic screening questions upon arrival. If you are feeling unwell, or if you have been potentially exposed to COVID-19, we will politely ask that you reschedule your visit. It will be helpful to consider these questions and self-monitor before your visit so as to avoid having to cancel once already on campus.
We respectfully ask that each visitor wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other individuals not in one’s immediate party. Restrooms and water will be available to our guests.
When you visit Florida Southern College, you’ll explore campus with our Southern Ambassadors, current students who represent the best of what Florida Southern has to offer. Explore their stories and connect with them here.
I found Florida Southern online and it was everything I was looking for. Once I went to Scholars weekend I experienced the sense of community here and was set on coming here.
During my college visits as a sophomore and junior in high school, I searched for a place that not only looked good on paper, but also felt like home. I found that at Florida Southern College. The people I met during my visits were all so kind and welcoming, and I felt like I had found my home away from home. Scholars Weekend really sealed the deal for me. I could see myself making memories with the people I met. I can’t wait for another great year at Florida Southern.
My favorite FSC memory would be performing in my first Studio Box Show: Middle School Dance. I performed in front of 300 people and it was amazing. Students that I had never met walked up to me in the following days and congratulated me on the performance.
During the second semester of my freshman year, I took the "Corrections and Rehabilitation" class which provided the chance to tour a local jail and a prison. It was an eye-opening experience for my classmates and me. We spent about two hours at each location and it was an engaging opportunity that went beyond just learning material in class. It was a very fascinating experience and I definitely learned a lot about our justice system.
As soon as I took a tour of Florida Southern I knew I wanted to spend the next four years here. The friendly, loving environment made me feel so welcome. I knew I would be able to find my place here and the beautiful campus didn't hurt.
Florida Southern's sense of community helped make it feel like a home away from home immediately. The academic experience and friendliness of professors is something I don't think I could find anywhere else.
I chose Florida Southern because of the small class sizes and beautiful campus!
I chose Florida Southern because it had the best culture. The people here are genuine sweethearts, there's a sense of security and care that I didn't get while visiting other schools. Florida Southern has become home to me and even after two years I still wouldn't want to go to school anywhere else.
The Office of Admissions is adhering to social distancing guidelines recommend by state and federal health officials. We are limiting the number of individuals who can gather in confined spaces at any one time. As a result, we ask that refrain from entering the France Admissions Building any earlier than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour.
In order to best adhere to public health guidelines, we are minimizing the amount of time visitors spend in our presentation theatre. Thorough sanitation of the room will be completed after each group departs. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions of an admissions counselor once the tour concludes.
So that we can best ensure the safety of our staff, tour guides, and visitors, we respectfully ask that you limit the size of your group to no more than 8 individuals for the near future. If more than 8 people are in your party, we will ask that part of your group wait to join the next available tour time. We can make accommodations to that policy if and where needed. Simply e-mail Liz Green, Assistant Director of Admissions and Campus Visit Programs, or call 863.576.5070.
When you return from your tour, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor. The meeting will take place in a space that allows for proper social distancing guidelines to be followed.
We respectfully ask that each visitor wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other individuals not in one’s immediate party. Extra masks will be available for visitors who do not bring their own.
At this time Florida Southern is following state and local health guidelines in limiting the size of our tours for the near future. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to register for other available time slots. You are also welcome to take a self-guided tour at any time.
If you have already registered a student for a tour time that is now at capacity, siblings or other students traveling with you will be able to register when you arrive on campus. We do ask that you provide us with an accurate count of your group’s size and keep us informed of changes to the number in your party.
We understand that some families may not yet feel comfortable coming to campus, so we are continuing to offer our virtual visit options here. You can view an online information session, hear from current students, attend one of our Academic Preview Days, and even explore campus through our virtual tours. As always, your admissions counselor is happy to help answer any questions you may have about Florida Southern. You can find contact information for your counselor here.
