Get Ready for Graduation

Florida Southern holds two graduation ceremonies each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Summer and fall graduates both participate in the Fall Commencement. Commencement instructions are distributed approximately two months prior to graduation.

Ready to Graduate?

Follow these three steps to prepare for graduation.

    Undergraduate students should book a Graduation Check with the Office of the Registrar to confirm they are on track to finish. Graduate and doctoral students do not need one.

    Submit your Application for Graduation through the FSC Portal the semester before your final semester. The $60 graduation fee is paid on the FSC Portal and covers academic costs such as preparing your diploma. Caps and gowns are purchased separately from the bookstore.

    Application deadlines

    • Fall graduates: April 15
    • Spring graduates: Dec. 15
    • Summer graduates: March 15

    All graduating undergraduate seniors are expected to attend commencement. There is no rehearsal, so review the Commencement Handbook before the ceremony.

    Can't attend commencement? Submit an Application for Graduation in Absentia to request to graduate without attending the ceremony.
