Florida Southern is more than 70 buildings across over 100 acres, plus a handful of locations off the main campus. Academic and administrative buildings, student housing, dining, conference and event spaces, gardens, water features, lawns, and outdoor recreation. Facilities Maintenance looks after all of it.
Maintenance Emergencies
For emergency repairs, or any problem that threatens someone's health or safety, call. Do not use email or the work request form.

The Safety Office is staffed 24 hours a day. Emergencies are addressed immediately, with most resolved within 24 hours.
How to Submit a Work Request
How you submit a request depends on who you are and what you need. Select the option that applies to you. Select the option that applies to you.
Submit your work request to your Resident Assistant, who will route it to Facilities Maintenance.
First-time users: Register through the link below, then verify you have selected the correct tab at the top: Maint Request or IT Request.
Returning users: Click the link below and choose "Forgot Password?" to receive a reset link by email. Once logged in, confirm the correct tab is selected. If the form does not load properly, clear your browser history or try a different browser.
When submitting, please include your name, phone number, building name or number, and a detailed description of the problem.

Complete the Move/Add/Change Request form in addition to submitting your request.
Requests to alter, add to, or modify a space, rather than repair it, use the designated Facility Improvement and Modification (FIM) form. Submit the FIM form to the Vice President for Finance and Administration for consideration and authorization.
About the Team
Florida Southern's reputation as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country does not happen by accident. Behind the scenes, more than 35 housekeepers, about a dozen grounds crew members, and a general maintenance team of 15 or more—experts in carpentry, painting, HVAC, and plumbing—work tirelessly to keep the campus looking its best.
What We Maintain
Building Operations and Repairs
Our team handles a wide range of building systems and repairs, including:
- Water, sewer, gas, steam, heating, and chilled-water distribution
- Preventive maintenance, routine, and emergency repairs
- Carpentry, masonry, plastering, and painting
- Keys, locks, and relamping
- Electrical, power wiring, and lighting fixtures
- Plumbing, heating, and ventilation adjustments
- Landscaping, lawn care, leaf cleanup, and litter pickup
- Furniture moving, event setups, and improvements and modifications
Custodial Services
Our custodial team provides cleaning across campus, including common areas in residence halls. The team:
- Cleans community bathrooms in residential areas daily
- Stocks bathroom paper supplies for residence halls through the area offices
- Provides some cleaning supplies for private and semi-private bathrooms at area offices
Residents are responsible for cleaning bathrooms in apartments, houses, or rooms with private baths.
