The McKay Archives' collections include the institutional records of Florida Southern College created or used in the course of business; personal as well as faculty papers, photographs, audio, video and artifact materials, including the Florida Citrus Archives collected and preserved by Thomas B. Mack (1914-2004), when he was a professor at the College.

Getting started with your research


We are open to the public and invite research in all our materials.

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please check academic calender for holidays. Please call ahead for specific information: 863-680-4994.

The Center also houses the Governor Lawton M. Chiles Center for Florida History (863-680-4312) and the Ruth K. and Charles T. Thrift, Jr., Florida United Methodist Heritage Center. Arrangements to use the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church materials must be made through the Conference Archivist (863-680-4992).

Posters are now printed in the Roux Library. Contact the library at 863-680-4164 to schedule an appointment or Poster printing charges are determined by length, up to 36 inches costs $15.00, up to 48 inches costs $20.00, and each additional one-foot increment is charged at $5.00 per foot. Permission to charge a college department must be granted in advance. Payment is accepted via cash, check (made out to FSC), or your student account can be billed.
