The Roux Reads Book Club engages campus readers in an enjoyable, inclusive, and collaborative program that encourages readership, builds Roux Library’s book collection, and creates a reading community home at Roux Library.
Students and other members of the college community have the opportunity to select a book for future discussion, consider and vote on monthly book acquisitions, and identify other titles for inclusion in the first floor Roux Reads display. The Roux Reads Book Club is led by student volunteers elected by fellow club members, with the Circulation Supervisor serving as facilitator if necessary. The Roux Reads Book Club will be encouraged to collaborate with other campus organizations on community service projects. Roux Library will support, promote, and host the club, including providing t-shirts for members, refreshments, and bookplates crediting “Roux Reads Book Club” for purchased books.
Inquire at the circulation desk for more information, or contact Roux Library at email@example.com.
