From your first year, you will have an opportunity to perform in the musical theatre. We present four main stage productions annually.

In THE 3120 Musical Theatre Scene Study, musical literature for performance is emphasized. You’ll be exposed to musical theatre styles, composers, literature, and lyricists with the emphasis on performance and vocal style.

The Vagabonds, the oldest student organization on campus, provides performance opportunities in lab productions, improv, and student cabarets.
Students may be accepted into the Musical Theatre B.F.A. program only through an audition in their area of expertise.
Musical Theatre auditions are offered throughout the school year on an appointment basis. The prospective student for the Musical Theatre B.F.A. degree should prepare two contrasting songs, 32 bars or 90 seconds each. Please bring a recording of your accompaniment. For the dance portions of the audition come prepared with dance attire and jazz or ballet shoes with light-colored soles.
Our Theatre Arts B.A. program does not require an audition for entry into the program!
Please Note: Scholarships are only awarded based on auditions and an interview with theatre faculty.
