We’re glad you’re joining the Florida Southern family, and we’re eager to introduce you to our beautiful campus and one-of-a-kind community.
Students will be assigned a check in date and time in the FSC Portal later this summer.
In the days leading up to the start of classes, our newest Mocs will be invited to campus for new student check-in and Orientation. These programs will help you meet your fellow classmates, become more familiar with the resources and activities available, and feel more at home on our friendly campus.
Mark your calendar with your move-in/arrival date noted above! In August, you’ll receive a check-in time and location on the FSC Portal.
Family members will be welcome to assist with move-in, but more information about will be forthcoming this summer about health and safety protocols that may impact number of guests and location access on campus.
Keep an eye out for a welcome message from your O-leader this summer.
Orientation Leaders are FSC upperclass students who serve as a resource and support in connecting new students to the community. O-leaders share helpful reminders, and tips, and are available for questions. They lead the small group activities throughout the orientation period.
To reduce the number of items you’ll need to pack and make move-in as easy as possible, we encourage you to ship your items. Your items will be stored in a climate-controlled warehouse and should be sent to:
c/o Florida Southern College
111 Lake Hollingsworth Dr.
Lakeland, FL 33801
Boldly write your room assignment on the boxes; if sending multiple boxes, please include 1 of 5, 2 of 5, etc.
Orientation provided the opportunity to connect with other incoming students in a small group setting. That initial connection allowed me to go into the school year with established friendships. To this day, we are friends. Other friends have shared similar experiences within their orientation group.

You’ll follow directional signage to your personalized check-in location. Make sure to bring your government-issued photo ID (such as driver’s license) to receive your Orientation materials at check-in. Our move-in teams will be available to greet your family and direct you on next steps for a smooth check-in and move-in process.
Stay up to date with orientation activities by downloading the "My FSC" app from Google Play or the App Store. Schedule details, times, location and helpful links will be available through the app once finalized.
Student meals are included in the Orientation program and the regular meal plan begins on the first day of classes. The GET app is a helpful way to keep track of all your Snake Bite related needs. Every student on the meal plan has an account with GET. The app can be downloaded straight to your phone, meaning you have constant access to your Snake Bites as well as contactless payment. Families are invited to purchase their meals at any of the dining venues on campus.
The FSC Bookstore is operated by Barnes and Noble, and is your source to save big on used textbooks, book rentals, and eBooks. Students can place their textbook orders online through the FSC Bookstore website and have them ready for “in-store pickup.”
Our MocTalk webinars focus on specific academic departments, student organizations and resources, and the admissions process. During these sessions, you’ll engage with faculty or staff and current students on the covered area of interest.
Be sure to check out these select local accommodations while staying in Lakeland.
