Gerrianne Schaad is a native Floridian who has worked at Florida Southern College for over seven years. She is a certified archivist with 31 years of experience in academic and museum settings.

As an archivist, Gerrianne collects and preserves the history of FSC. You can find her on campus in The McKay Archives building next to the Roux Library.

The Archives hold historical information about the College, from its founding to the current day. The archivist at FSC collects manuscripts, books, presentations, artwork, photographs, student newspapers, videos, and other historical data.

Looking for a list of every SGA president? Gerrianne can help you with that.

Looking for photos of the original campus from 100 years ago? You can find them in The McKay Archives Center.

The Archives space is quiet, and a great place to study. Students should also know some professors use materials from the archives in their classwork.

Gerrianne wants students to be aware that The McKay Archives Center hires student workers.

A fun fact about Gerrianne is she has visited 49 out of the 50 U.S. states. She hopes to visit Hawaii, the one state that she hasn’t visited yet, in the next year or two.
