The holiday season is upon us and Florida Southern College is in a celebratory mood.

Florida Southern College’s annual Alumni and Friends Christmas Dinner returns this year as a part of the 43rd Lessons & Carols Candlelight Service.

The dinner is set for 5:30 p.m. on December 7 at the Honeyman Pavilion, and it will be followed by Lessons & Carols at 7 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium.

To reserve your place at the dinner, call 863-680-4601 or email rsvp@flsouthern.edu. Tickets are $26 for adults and $13 for children and can be purchased online by visiting flsouthern.edu/give and in the box type ‘Alumni Christmas Dinner.’ Reservations must be made by December 1.

“I’m looking forward to this year’s Alumni and Friends Christmas Dinner and the Lessons and Carols Candlelight Service,” said Larry Stahl ’70, a member of the National Alumni Board of Directors. “It’s been too long since we’ve been together. I’ve missed our traditions and the wonderful way we begin the holiday season.”

The Festival of Lessons and Carols is open to the public for the first time since 2019. The past two years the service, which is based on one presented each Christmas Eve at King’s College, Cambridge University in England, has been held online.

This years’ service will be held at Branscomb Auditorium and will feature members of faculty as readers and music from Florida Southern’s talented music department. The service will conclude with the traditional lightning of candles and singing of Silent Night.

A live stream of Lessons & Carols will also be available here.
