Florida Southern College will celebrate Winter Commencement on Saturday, December 18, with an in-person ceremony on campus. Graduate students will be hooded at a 9 a.m. ceremony in Branscomb Auditorium, before all graduates walk across the stage on Mr. George’s Green beginning at 11 a.m.

In all, 189 students are anticipated to earn their degrees, including 118 undergraduates and 71 graduate students.
The graduation ceremony will begin with the national anthem and Florida Southern alma mater, to be performed by Lauren McKenna, Class of 2022.
The keynote speaker for the undergraduate ceremony will be Mr. Stan Little, Chief Experience Officer for the United Way Worldwide. Little has more than 30 years of experience in various venture-backed and Fortune 100 technology companies, holding senior roles in sales, corporate development, business operations and marketing.
Representing the graduates will be Ms. Catherine Schilling, from Naples, Fla., who will earn her Bachelor of Science in Business. She has been an active member of the campus community, holding membership in the accounting honors society Beta Alpha Psi. She also is a member of Gamma Phi Beta, one of the oldest women’s organizations in North America. Additionally, Schilling performed for three years in Studio Box, Florida Southern’s improvisational comedy troupe.
During the ceremony, Florida Southern will present the President’s Scholar Medal for superb academic achievement, awarded in recognition of a student’s academic record and demonstrating great promise for future success. This prestigious award is not named ahead of time and will be announced during the ceremony.
