For the 11th consecutive year, Florida Southern College has been recognized in The Princeton Review’s prestigious The Best 386 Colleges guide for its campus beauty and exceptional architectural heritage. FSC is the only institution in Florida to be included in the Top 20 of the 2021 edition’s “Most Beautiful Campus” listing.
Only about 14 percent of the nation’s 2,800 four-year colleges are profiled in The Best 386 Colleges, which was published this week. Florida Southern’s designation in The Princeton Review’s annual guide serves to showcase the school as one of the best institutions for undergraduate education in the U.S.
“We are delighted that Florida Southern College is one of the outstanding institutions we profile in the new edition,” said Robert Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review and author of The Best 386 Colleges. “We are truly pleased to recommend it to prospective applicants searching for their personal ‘best-fit’ college.”
Florida Southern’s beautiful campus setting — home to the world’s largest single-site collection of structures designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright — topped The Princeton Review’s “Most Beautiful“ listing in 2011 and 2012, the first time the same college had received the No. 1 designation for two consecutive years.
Entries in the guide’s “Top 20” lists were determined solely by surveys of students at each of the featured colleges, in which they rated and reported on various aspects of their campus and community experiences. FSC’s designation for its campus beauty is included in the guide’s “Quality of Life” category, which compiles student opinions of various factors important to prospective applicants and their parents.
“Inclusion in this prestigious publication is a testament to the quality and dedication of our faculty and staff to serving students’ academic needs,” said FSC Vice President of Communications and Marketing Grant J. Heston. “Florida Southern’s beautiful campus is the perfect home for students to learn, prepare for their careers and engage with faculty and industry partners.”
