FSC's fall semester classes to begin September 1

A message from Florida Southern for students and parents

April 29, 2020

To maximize flexibility this fall, Florida Southern will move the first day of fall semester classes to September 1. Classes were previously scheduled to begin August 18.

While this change means there will be no fall break, we believe the change is necessary to allow for a smooth start to the semester. As are other colleges and universities across the country, Florida Southern is revising the start of the fall semester to allow time for more normal activities to resume.

We are planning for traditional instruction this fall, conditions permitting. This summer we will share plans about how we will modify campus and classroom operations to ensure a healthy and safe learning experience. We will also share revised move-in procedures for the fall semester.

Later this week you will receive information about how and when to retrieve any personal items you left behind in your on-campus housing this spring.

Thank you so much for your support and patience as the College manages this crisis. The well-being of students has been, and will continue to be, at the forefront of every decision we make.
