Top 5 Reasons to be Thankful For FSC

As we work through the everyday grind, the holiday season gives us a reason to stop and be appreciative of all the offerings this campus community provides all year round.  From our passionate student body to our knowledgeable professors and involved staff members, we work through the year with one mission in mind:  to make a positive and consequential impact on society.
As in the words of our alma mater song, “Florida Southern, thee we love, thee we’ll never fail” — and here’s why:

Students at FSC

What makes up a campus? Why our students, of course. Our energetic, ambitious, and intelligent students make up the core of what it is to be a Moc. Walking around campus, you’ll see them actively participating in sporting events on the Intramural Field or relaxing on Mr. George’s Green with a good book. If they’re not eagerly heading to class, then they’ve set up a table near the Buck Stop to passionately represent their club or organization.

Our dedicated group of professors and professionals consists of scientists, artists, poets, and industry experts who engage our student body in rewarding research and creative activities that allow our students to grow and prosper from young scholars into avid researchers and real-world ready practitioners.

Wellness Center

Whether students need to get their yoga practice at the Wellness Center or they are interested in finding out about the next study abroad trip from the Travel Office, they know the FSC community houses all the resources necessary to thrive outside the classroom setting. From the admissions and career services offices to the library and student solutions center, students have a place to go for any question, concern, or plan of action!

4. Traditions

There’s nothing that brings a community together better than events that have tested the length of time. From concert events like Southern Takeover to our end-of-the-year Fair-well Festival, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that our traditions build a culture that’s unique in the hearts and minds of all Mocs.

There’s no other campus in the nation whose building windows provide just the Wright views. For ten consecutive years, Florida Southern has been ranked among the top 10 most beautiful campuses in America — and housing the greatest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is only a part of the reason why. A National Historic Landmark adjacent to a magnificent lake, our pristine, well kept 113-acre campus is sprinkled with rose gardens, a meditation reflection pool, and bright, lush fields of grass fit for any Moc to picnic on.
