Each year as the end of the fall semester approaches and a chill can be felt in the Florida air, FSC students are able to take a break from studying for exams to enjoy holiday festivities at the College’s annual Winter Wonderland event.

Mr. George’s Green is transformed into a festive celebration of the holidays where students can relax prior to finals. This year, Winter Wonderland was held on Thursday, Dec. 5, just one week before students wrapped up the fall semester.

The event is a favorite among students year after year, as they are able to enjoy seasonal traditions such as watching holiday movies, enjoying hot chocolate and cookies, and taking in the warmth of a bonfire. Students were also able to create novelty crafts with friends to commemorate the event. The highlight of the night is commonly the sledding ramp, complete with fake snow, giving students a taste of winter weather in The Sunshine State. The unique experience truly embodies the importance of community at FSC and the spirit which illuminates the campus year-round.
Wonderland Movie
The classic "Frosty the Snowman" cartoon plays on the back of the L.N. Pipkin Bandshell during the event.
