On June 28 and June 29, with a film crew of nearly 35 — about half volunteer Florida Southern College students, alumni and staff — Herbertz wrapped shooting for ”¡Come!” The 12-minute movie was written by FSC alumna Pamela Rodriguez as part of her classwork for Herbertz’s film course and focuses on a young girl’s experiences growing up Puerto Rican in Florida. It’s based on some of the challenges she faced after moving to Lakeland from Bayamon, on the island’s northern coastal valley.
