The last week or so of college can get very overwhelming with all the endless studying and preparation for finals. On the other hand, it’s officially December and holidays are quickly approaching. Then why not get in the holiday spirit and take a a little break with all the fun events happening on campus?
Who doesn’t like sweaters? Even if you live in Florida and it's 70° on December 25th, having an ugly holiday sweater to wear will definitely boost your holiday spirit. And if you somehow don’t have one yet, join ACE this Wednesday, December 5th by the Buckstop at 12 p.m. to decorate your own ugly sweater.
If finals are driving you crazy, Fannin Center has something special prepared for you. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday December 9, Fannin will be hosting its Cards and Coloring event where you can grab some coloring pencils, fun anti-stress coloring pages and just give your brain a break.
It’s the event you have been waiting for the entire semester is here! One of the FSC traditions, our annual Winter Wonderland will be taking place at the Mr. George's Green from 9 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Snow slide, arts & crafts, snacks, Santa Claus’ appearance and much more will be there for you to have some snowmazing time! Bonus: School Pride Passport Credit and a great reason to wear that ugly sweater you made earlier.
Of course, we can’t forget about our fine arts lovers. ‘Tis the Season: The Christmas Gala is another annual event taking place on Saturday, December 8th at 7:30 pm. The Christmas Gala is here with your holiday musical favorite, such as O Holy Night and Christmas Carol Sing-Along, performed by our amazing FSC students from choral, instrumental, and string groups.
And another one of our favorite Fall semester traditions is Pancake Palooza. This year, it will be taking place on Sunday, December 9th from 9 to 11 p.m.. It's probably one of the best ways to set finals week off to a great start.
