For the ninth consecutive year, Florida Southern College has been recognized in The Princeton Review’s prestigious college guidebook. Only 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges were selected, and Florida Southern’s inclusion in The Best 384 Colleges marks it as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education.

Published annually since 1992, The Best 384 Colleges includes detailed profiles of the colleges with rating scores for all schools in eight categories, including admissions selectivity, financial aid, and fire safety.

"We picked the 384 'best' colleges for our book primarily for their outstanding academics; we highly recommend each one," said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review's Editor-in-Chief and the book's lead author. "However, we know applicants need far more than an academic rating or ranking to find the college that will be best for them. We created our 62 ranking lists to help narrow that search. They are based entirely on data we gather beyond academics that gives insight into what the schools' enrolled students say about their professors, administrators, school services, campus culture, and student life. In the end, it's all about the fit.”

Florida Southern College was recognized in two top-20 lists for this year’s guidebook: Most Beautiful Campus and Most Religious Students.

In the 2019 edition of The Best 384 Colleges, released today, Florida Southern was recognized again for its campus beauty and exceptional architectural heritage by being ranked the No. 9 Most Beautiful Campus, the ninth successive year that FSC has been ranked among the top 10 most beautiful campuses in America. It was ranked number one for an unprecedented two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012.

The College was also included as No. 19 in the Most Religious Students category. The ranking demonstrates that FSC students are passionate about their spiritual growth.

FSC President Anne Kerr said the rankings show that FSC remains dedicated to achieving ever-higher standards of excellence in academics and student life.

“The faculty, staff, and students at Florida Southern are among the finest at any college in the country, and I am pleased that The Princeton Review has once again placed us in such elite company,” she said. “Our strong academic programs, beautiful campus, and vibrant student life provide our students a wonderful foundation to grow and make a consequential impact on the world.”
