Immigration is focus for Biblical Symposium
The symposium, “The Sojourner in Your Midst: Inclusion and Radical Hospitality,” will be held from 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday in the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel on the FSC campus. The event is free and open to the public, and lunch will be served for a $10 charge.

The annual Biblical Symposium at Florida Southern College will focus on the current topic of inclusion and immigration, with three guest speakers bringing scholarly and practical perspectives to the subject. 

The symposium, “The Sojourner in Your Midst: Inclusion and Radical Hospitality,” will be held from 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday in the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel on the FSC campus. The event is free and open to the public, and lunch will be served for a $10 charge.

The guest speakers at the symposium will be Dr. Douglas A. Knight, professor of Hebrew Bible emeritus at Vanderbilt University; Dr. Theodore Jennings, professor of biblical and constructive theology at Chicago Theological Seminary; and the Rev. John Fife, former moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a founding volunteer with two faith-based organizations providing humanitarian aid to migrant workers in the Sonoran Desert borderlands – Samaritans and No More Deaths.
