Florida Southern College announces a new graduate degree program aimed at educational professionals who want to become leaders in their field.

The Master of Education in Educational Leadership will begin offering classes in the summer of 2016, pending Florida Department of Education approval. The degree provides the next level of skills and credentials to accomplished teachers who seek to lead the education field in the classroom or in administration.

The program is offered to teachers who currently hold a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate. Courses are offered in a convenient schedule for working teachers in a hybrid online and in-class combination. All graduates are required to sit for the Florida Educational Leadership Exam (FELE) prior to completion of the program.

Details about the program will be unveiled at an open house at which faculty and staff will be present to answer questions. The open house will take place at 4 p.m. Nov. 10 in the lobby of the Christoverson Humanities Building on the FSC campus.
