One of the most versatile and beloved musicians in the industry, contemporary jazz artist Hilary Kole, accompanied by her Big Band, is coming to Florida Southern College as part of FSC’s Festival of Fine Arts. Ms. Kole will present Over the Rainbow, showcasing classics from Judy Garland, with a single performance next week.

“We are truly excited to bring this extraordinarily talented singer to our campus to share the music of legendary entertainer Judy Garland,” Paula Parsché, chair of the Department of Music at FSC, said. “Known especially for her ability to communicate across generations with her exquisite style and beautiful voice, Ms. Kole and her Big Band will provide us with one of the most memorable performances of the season.”

Called a “musical marvel” by The New York Observer, Hilary Kole is setting herself apart from other vocalists. She is known internationally, having performed at the Umbria Jazz Festival, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Narin Jazz Festival, among other prestigious engagements.

Over the Rainbow will take place at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22, 2015 in Branscomb Auditorium on the FSC Campus.
