Meet Sophie

Mar 7, 2022

by FSC Staff

Sophie is a five-year old Golden Retriever who was adopted at eight-weeks old by Counseling Center Director, David Aranda. Sophie loves her human family as well as her doggie sister, Maizy. She prefers to play with humans than other dogs, truly, that’s how much she loves them. Sophie’s always had a calm, lovable, and playful temperament. So much so, that everyone she meets is the most important person to her at that moment. Looking for more Sophie content? Follow @FloSophie on Instagram!

A day in Sophie's life
7:00 AM - After waking up and having breakfast, I anxiously look at my dad and beg him to take me to work (I’m not really good at remembering what day of the week it is)

7:30 AM - Drop off my human siblings at the bus stop for school and enjoy a car ride with the windows down.
8:00 AM - Get to the counseling center and greet all staff members in their office one at a time- I love catching up with them (it always seems like forever since I last saw them).
9:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Greet all my student friends that come into the center for their counseling appointment.

12:00 PM - Go for a walk with my dad at lunch time and meet more of my student friends.
1:00 PM - On our way back from a walk, stop by the post office for my daily cookie treat. I love the post office!
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM - Hang out in the counseling center hallway to greet visitors, keep sitting in counseling appointments if they let me.
6:00 PM - Go home and tell my mom, brother and sister all about my day.
8:00 PM - Go to bed and hope I get to do it all over again the next day.
