A finding aid is a document containing detailed information about a specific collection of papers or records within an archive. Finding aids are used by researchers to determine whether information within a collection is relevant to their research.
College records are any document that has been preserved because it facilitates the operations and management of the institution, and that have been generated by or received by the institution. They can be paper, correspondence, completed form, bound record book, photograph, film, sound recording, map drawing, digital, or other document, regardless of physical form or characteristics.
