Matthew Herbertz, MFA

Assistant Professor of Film

Students should enter the world as politically and intellectually responsible human beings. The duty of the teacher does not end at classroom instruction. In fact, this duty should extend into critically challenging a students personal ideology. The classroom should allow students to engage with difficult material, discuss controversial topics, and attempt to better understand their own ideology.
