Biography
It is my role as an instructor to provide an environment that is conducive to learning. A part of establishing such an environment is developing a connection with the student through listening, conversations, and relationship building. I think it is important to know how each individual student learns best. I want to always be that professor who supports their learning needs, providing guidance as they move forward toward their learning goals, and aspirations.
I am a proud graduate from Florida Southern College School of Nursing, a graduate of the School of Education at the University of South Florida, and a graduate of Chamberlain College of Nursing with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. I have practiced nursing for 28 years, and I have worked in academia since 2005. I joined the faculty at Florida Southern College in the summer of 2016. I am the mother of three, and the grandmother of five. I have seven god-children, and I enjoy music, cooking, and singing.
Interests
I enjoy attending Church, working with youth and young people, cooking and listening to good music.
