John Thomasson, D.M.A.
Professor of Music

"I believe in treating each student with respect while creating a positive learning environment in the classroom, with engaged learning as the central pedagogical method. My goal is to lead the student toward individual mastery of his/her discipline through the creation of a sequence of structured activities that teach, and then reinforce skills and positive habits. I expect excellence in the classroom, and have high expectations for each student's success."

Dr. John Thomasson, bass-baritone, holds the doctorate in voice performance from the University of Iowa as well as performance degrees in Opera and German Art Song from the Mozarteum University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Salzburg, Austria.
