Hope Holley, Ed.D.

Assistant Professor of Education

As an educator of educators I am passionate about cultural and socioeconomic issues in the classroom, residual impacts of high-stakes testing, effective implementation of researched best-practices, and fostering a love and passion for teaching. I bring with me to the college classroom a basic philosophy that all students can achieve mastery learning, and as teachers it is our responsibility to help determine the best way to help each student learn.”

Dr. Hope Holley is a Florida Southern College Alumni who earned her undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees from the FSC's School of Education. She began teaching middle school math and science at St. Joseph's Academy in Lakeland, Florida. Since then, she has taught mathematics in various high schools and middle schools for the Polk County School Board. After earning her Doctorate she worked with the University of Florida's grant funded project, Algebra Nation where she developed curriculum and trained teachers. She has had the opportunity to be a presenter at state and national mathematics teacher's conferences and she specializes in the integration of effective use of technology in the classroom to support differentiation and remediation.
